Where would Catoosa County be without SPLOST (Special Project Local Option Sales Tax)? Since 1994, when the very first SPLOST started rolling in, $97,606,992 in pennies flowed through the coffers of the county and the two cities for capital expenditure projects. Catoosa working to solve safety issues at Bible Road

The Catoosa County Board of Commissioners heard additional concerns Sept. 2. from Bible Road residents about safety issues from a bus stop at the end of the Catoosa County road. Students in the area, many of whom, live in the Village Green Mobile Home community, use the stop. Hobby breeders' accident costing county thousands

Illegal goods make their way through Catoosa County on a daily basis by means of Interstate 75. A lesser-known issue is animal trafficking, but on Aug. 14, a large collection of dogs was confiscated in what turned out to be a animal trafficking incident. Military park receives first volunteer coordinator

Patrice Hobbs Glass will lead the volunteer efforts for the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park.
